History, one coin at a time
Numistix tells the real history behind historic coins and currency — the empires that minted them, the people who carried them, and the ideas they were built to spread. Every story is free to read, no account or payment required.
Every story starts with a real coin and builds outward — into the empire that minted it, the trade routes it traveled, and the politics it was built to serve. We favor depth and narrative over trivia.
Our Approach to Accuracy
Historical accuracy is core to what we do. Every story is grounded in a real coin and real history, and is intended to go through fact-checking and editorial review before being considered final. The content on this site is an early version of that process.
